About Erin

Erin Righter is a licensed school psychologist with her educational specialist certification from Immaculata University (2019). Prior to that, Erin was a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for Early Intervention Services throughout Bucks and Montgomery County.  Erin has worked in many different settings including daycares, preschools, public school and an approved private school in Fort Washington where she most recently served as Fairwold Academy's full time school psychologist.

During her time as a school psychologist, Erin developed and practiced both psychoeducational evaluation skills as well as counseling skills. Erin has experience with assessing educational classifications for students such as Specific Learning Disabilities, Other Health Impairments (ADHD, Tourette syndrome), Autism, and Emotional Disturbance (anxiety and depression disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, etc), to name a few. Erin has worked with families of many students, helping them through the special education process as well as providing resources as needed.

Erin has a passion for helping children and teens find their voice by building a sense of trust and support. It is an honor for her to work with individuals who are willing to take their first step in counseling, and understands it takes patience and a genuine connection between patient and clinician. With her holistic approach, Erin utilizes mindfulness-based styles of counseling including aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. For younger patients, Erin utilizes aspects taken from Play and Art Therapy.

Erin is currently working towards her additional counseling licensure to become a licensed professional counselor, or LPC.
