About Liz
Liz is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania. After completing her master’s level training in 2010 from the University of Dayton, Liz worked as a counselor and clinical case manager for an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). She also worked for the state of South Carolina and provided individual, group, and family therapy to adults in a community setting.
Most recently, Liz worked as a counselor at West Chester University (WCU). At WCU’s Counseling Center, she provided individual and group therapy and enjoyed helping students improve their overall well-being by balancing their academic, personal, and mental health needs.
When working with clients, Liz utilizes a variety of counseling approaches. She believes the connection between the therapist and client is the most integral part of the counseling experience. Most often, she utilities Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques to help individuals struggling with, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, adjustment concerns, life transitions, grief and loss, identity development, trauma, interpersonal relationships, and academic difficulties/motivation.
Liz enjoys working with older teens and adults in an individual, family or couples setting. She believes that everyone can experience healing and growth when supported in an empathetic and caring environment and when given effective tools to help them cope. Liz is a proud ally and considers it a privilege to help clients navigate their personal journeys. Liz also has a passion for community outreach and has a certified therapy dog, Lucy.
