Dr. Chimère is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania with 11 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families in both community mental health and private practice settings. Bringing a diverse array of experience and skillsets to the realm of psychotherapy, Chimère is most passionate about blending her love of spirituality, wellness, and psychology to best assist each of her clients in addressing challenges while overcoming life’s difficulties. Chimère treats each therapy session as sacred, and graciously meets people where they are.
Chimère earned her Ph.D. in Marriage & Family Therapy from Eastern University. Prior to her doctoral research, she earned a Master’s degree in Theology (w/ a certificate in Pastoral Ministry) from Villanova University along with a Master’s degree in School & Mental Health Counseling from The University of Pennsylvania. An advocate for social and racial justice, Chimère participates in academic panels and professional trainings that promote mental hygiene, emotional wellness, and holistic healthcare - particularly for marginalized Black and BIPOC women.
With nearly 7 years of spearheading intensive outpatient programming (IOP) with an emphasis on women’s mental health challenges, including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, Chimère has worked with women spanning the ages of 18-80-years-old. Additionally, she has acquired several years of intensive substance use disorder treatment. Offering extensive experience serving outpatient populations including both individuals and couples, Chimère seeks to help her clients discover the necessary tools and momentum to transform their hardships into teachable treasures that promote inner resilience and empowerment.
At Growth Minded, Chimère looks forward to serving women throughout the main line in the women’s trauma-informed mental health IOP, in addition to helping couples thrive through improved communication and relationship satisfaction. Centering her approach in both family systems and mindfulness theories, Chimère considers it a privilege to support as many individuals and couples as possible on their path to wholeness and wellness.
