About Jamie

Jamie is currently completing her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), where her training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and suicide risk assessment. She previously earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Delaware.

As an undergraduate, Jamie worked as a Registered Behavior Technician and Adolescent Care Provider, supporting children, families, and individuals with autism. She also worked with Homes for All, supporting low-income individuals experiencing housing instability. These experiences strengthened her ability to provide compassionate, individualized care to clients from diverse backgrounds.

Jamie takes a collaborative and holistic approach to therapy, recognizing that each client’s experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. She is especially interested in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. She hopes to help clients recognize patterns in their thoughts and behaviors while developing more effective ways to cope with challenges.

Jamie is excited to complete her internship at Growth Minded Counseling and build collaborative relationships with her clients. She strives to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and exploring their experiences. Jamie values empathy and authenticity and aims to help each client feel understood and accepted.
