About Janelle
Janelle currently serves as Growth Minded's Intake Coordinator, assisting clients in navigating the scheduling process and being thoughtfully matched with a member of our team. She has a masters in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University, and a Bachelor's degree from Houghton College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double major in psychology and writing, and a minor in Equestrian Studies.
During her academic career, Janelle conducted research on eating disorders, gender stereotypes, relationships and the development of the relational self, and self-schemas. After graduating from college, she worked for 10 years as an administrative and medical assistant, medical records clerk, and billing assistant at a large outpatient practice in the area. Prior to joining Growth Minded, she served as the Clinical Case and Referral Specialist at West Chester University's Counseling Center, where she assisted in developing and building the case management program for undergraduate and graduate students.
Janelle's priority when working with clients is helping them find a space where they can feel seen, heard, and valued. She feels that each individual reaches out for a reason, and her mission is to get them connected with a clinician who is the right fit, regardless of concern, presenting problem, or perceived barriers to care. It is our mission at Growth Minded to ensure that everyone who contacts us is supported in one way or another, and Janelle works diligently at providing our community with all options and resources. She is honored to be able to share the counseling journey with our clients and appreciates every opportunity she is given to connect with them, even if only for a short time.
