Jayden Gibison, B.S.

Jayden graduated in 2022 with her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Services from the University of Central Florida. During her gap year, she spent time working at a non-profit which strengthened her passion of working with underserved communities. Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, she relocated to Philadelphia in October 2023 to pursue her master's degree at the University of Pennsylvania. She is on track to graduate after the Spring 2026 semester with an M.S.Ed. in School and Mental Health Counseling. Jayden also currently works at the University of Pennsylvania as an Administrative Coordinator for the Master of Applied Positive Psychology program.

Jayden recently completed an internship at Arcadia University where she was working one on one with college students. She aspires to work with high school and college students, so this experience was very valuable. She also hopes to be able to specialize in life transitions, relationship dynamics, and anxiety & depressive disorders. She tends to resonate with psychodynamic, existential, and acceptance-commitment therapeutic approaches.  

She is very excited to be interning at Growth Minded Counseling and Consulting for her final internship this year. She is eager to gain experience in a field that she is extremely passionate about, work with a variety of populations, and grow both as an individual and a clinician. Her top strengths include community-building, honesty, perspective, empathy, and gentle humor.
