Joy is a Licensed School Psychologist and certified educator in Pennsylvania. She has several years of experience serving students from kindergarten through college, working with families, and providing a variety of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support.
Joy is also an experienced college and career coach and she enjoys helping people pursue their passions. School districts she has served include Tredyffrin Easttown School District, Upper Merion Area School District, Norristown Area School District, Upper Dublin School District, and Fairwold Academy. Her interest in education led her to earn a Master's degree in Integrated Science Education from the University of Pennsylvania and she earned her Teacher Leadership Certification from Villanova University. Her interest in psychology led her to Eastern University where her research revolved around the role that trauma plays on individuals and their learning.
She is currently working towards her National School Psychologist Certification and is practicing under the clinical supervision of Angela Freed for her LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). She uses a variety of evidenced and researched-based therapeutic services, and is passionate about being a good listener, helping individuals feel better about themselves, and providing assistance, guidance, and clarity towards a variety of "life opportunities." Joy loves promoting mental health, providing wellness strategies, and coming alongside those who are grieving due to change or loss.
