About Joy
Joy is a licensed school psychologist and certified educator in Pennsylvania. She has many years of experience working in the school system and is passionate about assisting individuals, families, and students from pre-kindergarten through college as they navigate their academic years. She provides support to children, teens, adults, parents and guardians, couples, and families, and believes that everyone needs “a person to talk to." Joy enjoys being “that person” who sees and hears you and provides mental, school/academic, organizational, relational/social, and behavioral support.
Joy regularly serves in the Upper Merion community and has served several school districts, including the Tredyffrin Easttown School District, Upper Merion Area School District, Norristown Area School District, Upper Dublin School District, Fairwold Academy, as well as the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (Early Intervention). She has Masters's degrees in School Psychology (Eastern University), Integrated Science Education (University of Pennsylvania), and a Teacher Leadership Certification (Villanova University).
Joy uses a variety of evidenced and researched-based therapeutic services and is passionate about being a calm and peaceful listener, helping individuals feel better about themselves, and providing assistance, guidance, and clarity toward a variety of "life opportunities." Joy loves promoting mental, physical, and emotional health, providing educational/academic, family, and life wellness strategies, as well as coming alongside those who are grieving due to change or loss. She looks forward to joining you on your journey and helping you make progress toward your unique goals.
