About Sameh
Sameh Shaker is a current PhD student in Marriage and Family Therapy at Eastern University. He is interested in attachment studies, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and working with couples who experience emotional and sexual distress in their relationships. He loves helping individuals to explore the underlying roots of their behaviors, and helping couples to better understand their pursual-withdrawal cycles. He uses a Psychodynamic approach when working with adult individuals who experience depression, anxiety, or avoidance.
Sameh has over 12 years of experience working with clients who have experienced grief and loss in the palliative and hospice care field. He works with individuals and couples from different faith backgrounds, and when requested, integrates spirituality into different therapeutic modalities.
Sameh completed his S.T.M. (master of Sacred Theology) from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, focusing
on trauma and grief. He also has two bachelor degrees in Theology and Philosophy.
