About Victoria
Victoria is currently completing her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), where she receives specialized training in suicide risk assessment and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Victoria previously earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Clinical Concentration from Saint Joseph’s University. During that time, she gained research experience in the Psychology Research Lab and volunteered at the Kinney Center for Autism Education and Support. These experiences deepened her desire to support children, adolescents, and adults in their journey of personal growth and emotional healing.
Victoria believes in a holistic approach to therapy that focuses on the whole person, including their emotional and physical health, as well as the life experiences that shape them. She plans on applying evidence-based frameworks, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She is especially drawn to Motivational Interviewing and Gestalt Therapy, where she hopes to integrate techniques that support clients in developing effective coping strategies that create positive change.
Victoria is excited to be completing her internship at Growth Minded Counseling. She is dedicated to creating a compassionate and collaborative space where clients feel heard, supported, and valued. Her strengths include empathy, care, and authenticity, which she looks forward to bringing into her future work with clients to build trust and connection. She is passionate about tailoring therapy to fit each person’s unique needs and goals to create an open and welcoming environment.
